You’ll be pleased to know that last night’s telethon held in BVI by the Family of Rotary (Interactors, Rotaractors and members and families of 3 Rotary Clubs in BVI), raised approximately US$180, 000 in pledges to help the people of Haiti.  We are working to collect on the pledges but consider the effort a huge success. We now turn to other phases of our fund raising to get us to our target of $200,000. They are:

·         50% of the proceeds of 2 movies (tonight and night of Friday Jan 22^nd )with ratings for family viewing

·         Benefit dinner in Virgin Gorda on Saturday January 23^rd with 50% of proceeds to Rotary Haiti Disaster Fund

·         Gala event for another movie as a Premiere on Friday 29^th Jan.

 We should be in a position to transfer these funds to District Haiti account by the end of the month. Alternatively we can transfer what we have at the end of this week with a 2^nd transfer to follow at the end of the month. Your preference.
